student teaching is harder than it looks :)
I have been a mother, a wife, a business owner, and a substitute teacher. Although I have experience in teaching (so to speak) it is nothing like the reality of being in the classroom day in and day out with the same staff, students, and habits. Don't get me wrong, Im loving my time with my second graders but I am down right tired!! I come home and just want to go to bed! I found that fridays and mondays are the most challanging days. So... I have decided that I am not the only one who is tired by friday. I have found my students are also tired. The best way to accomplish teaching kids who by friday are burned out is to teach them with technology. Youtube and some education sites, along with websites are a friday life savers!!!!!

Keeping up the smile
In order for your students to be happy the teacher MUST maintain a happy classroom. After spending over 6 years in public schools I have seen happy classrooms and not so happy ones. The one thing I have discovered is in order to have kids that look forward to learning in your class, you have to make it a learning environment that meets thier interests as well as your own objectives. Finding that "happy" medium is where it becomes a challange.
